Today I’m sharing a sweet little autumnal project with you today. This is my latest September design team project for Tres Jolie Kit Club. I used the Prima Marketing birdcage from the Mixed Media kit as well as scraps of paper and practically all the florals from the September Cards, Tags & More kit.  I just love the luscious Fall colors.

The first step was to detach the back portion of the birdcage and give the entire unit a thick coat of gesso (I used Heavy Gesso). I then applied an equally thick coat of crackle paste to both pieces.

After drying, I began adhering “the oh-so-pretty” Prima flowers along with leaves and other elements I punched out of the 49th & Market cutout sheet. I also added flowers to the base on the inside and glued a little birdie from the elements sheet on top.

I then used Soft Gel Medium to glue a couple of paper scraps and butterflies to the back piece.  I then finished the top with seam binding (included in the Card, Tags & More kit!) and another flower.

This was such a fun, FUN project!  I had a hard time deciding which to use and which to hoard…LOL!
